We are happy to announce that the AYYA will be offering a scholarship during this National Yo-Yo League season. The AYYA will provide $400.00 to an AYYA member who is traveling to Chico, California to compete in the Single A Division at the National yo-yo contest. The award is presented following the competition at the awards dinner. The player must be present to receive the prize.
To be eligible for the scholarship, the player must: - Win their home regional contest and be granted the seed to Nationals for the Single A division.
- Be an AYYA member before they win their regional contest.
- Must compete at the National Championships in the Single A division.
In case of a tie among members, the procedure below will be followed.
Tie-Break: If more then 1 person has fulfilled all of the criteria above, a tie breaker system will be used based on the AYYA WORLD RECORDS. The tied players will be given 1 pt for each junior or Masters level record they currently hold, and 3 points for an OPEN level record. Whoever has the most points wins. If there is still a tie, the funds will be split between the members.
