The 4XL is precision machined with two ball bearings inside. For those that remember the 'beefcake' mod from a few years ago, this is a premium interpretation of that concept. Two precision bearings seated side by side within the yo-yo create a small groove where the bearings meet which in-turn provides a channel that the string will seek out effectively centering the string in the dead center of the yo-yo. This allows the string to slide and easily stack side by side during intricate string tricks that involve multiple layers of string within the string gap on the yo-yo.

This Special Edition Werrd 4XL features the AYYA logo on the inside of the yo-yo halves. Using a custom printing process that can print on a curved an irregular surface, Werrd can put an image on this yo-yo in a way no on else can. This is a classy full color print of the AYYA logo. Using clear sillicone pads, the logo can still be seen even under the response mechanism.

Stu Brown (founder of Werrd Yo-Yos) is also a skilled craftsman who has created the custom packaging for the Werrd 4XL. The custom packaging is a wooden puzzle that holds the yo-yo suspended in the box with custom printing on the front aspect of the main face.

Why is this one called the 4XL? Why, four bearings of course! Not only are there two bearings on the inside, the Werrd 4XL also has bearings on the outside. These outer bearings are mounted to the outside and fitted with what Stu calls 'Jimmy Hats'. These plastic discs allow the player to grab the outside of the yo-yo while it is spinning enabling a multitude of new variations on tricks we already know and the creation of many brand new elements. The 'Jimmy Hats' are blue on one side and black on the other.

All four of the bearings are super clean, free spinning bearings. As such, the AYYA Werrd 4XL will require a 'bind' to return to the hand. This yo-yo is tuned up, ready, and intended for the advanced player or competitor. A new player will appreciate the good looks of this one but may be easily frustrated by the low response.
