The AYYA is the organization charged with keeping and tracking the Yo-Yo World Records. The records were originally established at the World Yo-Yo Championship in Rapid City, South Dakota in 1996. Since that time, technology has greatly changed in the yo-yo world that has caused many of the records to be eclipsed. But, every record that has ever been set is listed in the database, so check out the past records too.
You can search by division, trick, or player to see many different views of the same records. You can even leave all the search fields blank, and see all the records. If you are interested in having your event test for World Records, download the information below, and be sure to request AYYA contest sanctioning. Once a year, the AYYA Board of Directors will have the option to include a new record for testing. If you want to submit ideas, or tricks that the BOD will consider, Please email the item to
